  • Overview

    The Associate, Global Financial Operations is responsible for managing media budgets, media invoices and working with client finance person through the collection of data and assessment of planning, buying and invoices.


    Budget Management

    • Proper management and reconciliation of all account budgets in accordance with media authorizations
    • Reconcile budgets as they change due to savings and moves


    Client & Internal Relationships

    • Develop and maintain relationships with agency personnel related to budget management processes and deliverables
    • Liaison with client divisional finance team
    • Work collaboratively across internal planning and finance teams, informing and requesting data as necessary

    Strategic Thinking & Leadership

    • Ensure key information is provided to appropriate individuals and teams regarding budget management issues
    • Is approachable and solution-oriented when presented with problems/issues by staff and team
    • Breaks down problems and issues into critical parts which can be resolved
    • May be responsible for constructing and delivering accurate, honest and timely performance management documents

    Communications Skills

    • Express oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications
    • Write in a clear, compelling and concise manner
    • Organize ideas and information logically and sequentially
    • Develop financial reports that are clear, error-free and on-time
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
    • 1-2 years of financial reporting, variance analysis and commentary reporting experience
    • Advertising agency or professional services experience preferred
    • Experience and knowledge of budgeting and forecasting company revenues and internal operating expenses, as well as reconciling data from multiple financial databases
    • Advanced computer skills (MS Office), excellent Excel forecasting skills


    • Bachelor’s degree in business, with a major in accounting or finance.
    • 1+ years work experience with hands on budget management experience, preferably within the media industry.
    • Prior client management experience preferred.
    • Must be a team player, be bright, a quick learner, and good problem solver.
    • Strong proficiency utilizing MediaOcean and Prisma preferred with superior Excel skills.
    • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in a fast paced, client service environment; a high sense of urgency, a positive attitude.
    • Knowledge of all media types; network (television and radio), local, print, out-of-home, and digital.
    • Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, is proactive, detail oriented, and must possess outstanding follow-through skills.
