The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Director of Client Finance in maintaining the client financial relationships of multiple clients, and acts to support the Director for all financial deliverables to clients, including fee invoicing, reconciliations and profitability analysis.  He/She works closely with the various Planning teams and service teams (especially Client Accounting) to ensure financial elements of the client relationship are communicated, tracked, monitored and managed. 



  • Support the efforts to prepare and produce all client financial deliverables
  • Provide support in the preparation of client pricing and staffing plans
  • Monitor job activity, prepare and assist with fee, media and production reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Manage revenue recognition and month end close
  • Occasionally support efforts to manage client collections and ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner
  • Prepare, review and distribute monthly financial reports to account leads
  • Assist in the budget & reforecast process
  • Track revenues vs. budget and research variance drivers
  • Manage intercompany revenue cross charges
  • Prepare and provide reporting on staff utilization and client profitability
  • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
  • Assist Directors of Finance and corporate finance with special projects.
  • Provide proactive analytical support and other ad hoc financial analyses to the business leaders.
  • The role of the Client Financial Analyst demands attention to detail that removes the possibility of careless errors.


Client & Internal Relationships

  • Develop and maintain relationships with agency personnel related to financial processes and deliverables
  • Provide ongoing reporting and analysis to client teams related to client and job profitability
  • Work with client teams to ensure revenue tracking systems are up to date
  • Work closely with the client teams to stay abreast of changes and modifications to client budgets

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience Budgeting / Forecasting
  • Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills (written and oral)
  • Superior organization abilities, strong attention of detail, and advanced project management/customer service skills
  • This position is responsible for handling highly confidential information, requiring an ability to maintain and display high ethical standards including confidentiality, discretion, and exemplary judgment with respect to such information.
