Overview

The Assistant, Budget is the day-to-day focal point to the account and  is a primary team member handling all aspects of account reconciliations and reporting. They are expected to have day-to-day responsibility for assigned accounts and is expected to have an understanding of the client’s overall business and budget objectives. 

Responsibilities

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Budget Management

  • Management of all account budgets in accordance with media authorizations, including barter, key partners, and online video
  • Responsible for client distribution of monthly budget reports
  • Reconcile budgets as they change due to savings and moves

Competitive Stewardship

  • Manage monthly and quarterly competitive reporting with client alignment/distribution
  • Ability to turn around smaller turnkey competitive requests, via client or internal

Process

  • Collaborate with Supervisor to better define and streamline Comms team productivity and processes
  • Manage media resource materials including org charts, calendars, meeting minutes, operational forms and guides.

Client & Internal Relationships

  • Develop and maintain relationships with agency personnel related to budget management processes and deliverables between Comms & Activation teams
  • Liaison with client accounting and finance
  • Proactively manage client expectations and timelines with informed and open dialogue

Communications Skills

  • Express oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications
  • Write in a clear, compelling and concise manner
  • Organize ideas and information logically and sequentially
  • Develop financial reports that are clear, error-free and on-time

Global

  • Responsible for any related global request that fall under operational areas of expertise

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of media planning or financial experience
  • Accuracy and attention to detail a must
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office), excellent Excel forecasting skills
  • Advertising agency or professional services experience preferred
